Delete a Rule

Rules that are no longer needed can be deleted. To temporarily disable a rule, edit the rule and clear the Rule Enabled check box. Deleting an Escalation Rule deletes the rule, the scheduled SQL that runs the rule, and all transactional records created from the rule.

Permanently delete a rule:

  1. Select Tools > Rules Manager from the Main Menu.

    The Rules Manager window opens.

  2. Select the rule you want to delete.

  3. Click the Delete button.

    A dialog box opens, asking you to confirm your choice.

  4. Click Yes.

    The rule is deleted and the Rules Managerappears.
